Second Brain app: terms, support, refunds and privacy

1. Who we are

Contigi is a trading name of Buckswell Holdings Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 13137887, whose registered office is at Enterprise House, 1st Floor, 2 The Crest, London NW4 2HN. "We" and "us" mean Buckswell Holdings Limited, trading as Contigi. "You" means the person buying or using the Second Brain app, which we call "the app". Contact us at office@contigi.com.

2. What the app is and what it is not

• The app shows, searches and adds to a folder of plain text files, your Second Brain, in a folder you choose. Your AI tools write to that folder themselves.
• The app does not talk to any AI. It has no account and no server of ours. It does not send your files to us.
• What your AI tools write is between you and those tools. So is what they do with what they read. We do not control them.
• Each AI must be able to reach your cloud folder. We tested the AIs in our guides on 6 October 2026. AI companies change their products, so we cannot promise a guide stays true for ever. If a guide is out of date, email us.
• It is not a backup. Your cloud provider keeps the folder in step across your devices. Keep your own backup.
• It needs macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later. A Windows version is planned and is not part of this purchase until it is released.

3. Your licence

When you buy the app we give you a personal, non-exclusive licence to use it on the computers you own or use yourself. You may use it for your own business. You may not sell, share, rent or copy it, run it as a service for other people, or take it apart, except where the law allows you to. The app stays ours. The licence lasts for as long as you keep to these terms.

4. Price and payment

• The app costs £99, paid once, for a limited launch period. There is no subscription. Free updates to version 1 are included.
• Buckswell Holdings Limited is not currently registered for VAT. No VAT is charged and the price you see is the price you pay.
• Payment is taken by our payment provider. We do not see or store your card details.
• After you pay, you are taken to a page with your download link. Please keep that page and do not share it. If you lose it, email us from the address you paid with and we will send it again.

5. Support

Your purchase includes 12 months of email support from the day you buy. Write to office@contigi.com. We aim to reply within 2 working days. Support is by email only. We do not offer phone support. After 12 months the app keeps working. You may renew email support if you want it.

6. Our 60 day money-back guarantee and your legal rights

If the app is not for you, email us within 60 days of buying and we will refund the full £99. You do not need to give a reason. This is longer than the 14 days you normally have by law to cancel an online purchase. Downloading the app straight away does not affect it.

Whatever is written here, you always keep your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If the app is not, you are entitled to have it repaired or replaced, or to a price reduction or a refund.

7. Our responsibility

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Subject to that, our total liability to you for anything connected with the app is limited to the price you paid for it. If you use the app for your business, we are not responsible for loss of profit, revenue or business, or for indirect loss. The app never deletes an entry. It moves old copies into an archive folder inside your Second Brain.

8. Privacy

The app keeps everything in the folder you choose. It collects no usage data and sends nothing to us. When you buy, we receive your name, email address, the amount and the date from our payment provider. We use them to give you your download link, to give you support and to keep our accounts. Our lawful basis is performing a contract with you and meeting our legal duties to HMRC. See our privacy policy for your rights.

9. The law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
